Founded in 2006, By Niecy Dennis White; WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT GLOBAL ALLIANCE (WDGA) is a global, innovative 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Within our 18-year history, WDGA has found that the youth we serve are dealing with unprecedented levels of challenges: Examples: Depression, Lack of motivation and concentration, Hopelessness, Homelessness, Social Media addiction, Generalized anxiety, Unaccountability attitude, Household dysfunction, Parental disrespect, Anger outbursts, Animosity between peers, Academic problems, Suicide, Pregnancies of young ladies, Increased cases of domestic violence, food insecurity, - and even sex trafficking, drug abuse and exposure to drug business.
At WDGA, we are dedicated to providing innovative educational empowerment that inspire growth and achievement. Our teams located in Pittsburgh, PA (USA) and Kenya works closely with educators, institutions, and organizations to develop tailored strategies that meet each student's unique needs. We believe in fostering a collaborative environment where ideas can flourish and every voice is heard. By leveraging data-driven insights and best practices, WDGA aims to enhance developmental outcomes and create lasting impacts in the educational landscape and future careers of these students. WDGA’s mission, delivered through workforce development as an inspiration to our youth, promotes economic self-sufficiency through peace and employability of opportunity youth. Our 3Steps2Work program consists of 3 parts : (GET ALONG) – STEP 1 equips youth with problem-solving skills to resolve conflict while building better leadership skills and improved relationships. (GET AHEAD) – STEP 2 provides career development, employment, and entrepreneurship. (GET FAMILY) – STEP 3 Stronger family connection and involvement.
Our Boyz2Mentoring Program encourages and equips area youth to build healthy relationships, develop passions, contribute to community, and to invest in personal growth. We are looking to revamp and reintroduce Boyz2Mentoring in 2025!
The ePal Program is part of Workforce Development Global Alliance (WDGA) strategic plan designed to facilitate higher levels of global awareness by connecting urban youth in Homestead, PA to youth in Kenya, Africa who share common struggles and common career goals via a cyber-solution eLearning platform.
